Restaurant Dress code?

KVSB, on October 6, 2013 at 4:20 PM Posted in Planning 0 4

We will be getting married at a chapel, then heading to a really nice restaurant for dinner. If the restaurant has a dress code for patrons, how do I inform my guests? On invites? An insert? Website?

thnx Smiley smile

If there is a dress code for the restaurant, then an insert with the invitations and/or a blurb on the website, should be fine.

Keep in mind that "dress code" means "guests will not be permitted inside the restaurant." If your guests would still be permitted in the restaurant in jeans and tennis shoes, then just trust them to dress appropriately. But there are some restaurants that, like country clubs, will turn away guests who aren't properly dressed.

Hmm, I guess I have to call and ask the Manager. I was told, and the website says, there is an enforced dress code, but maybe people wouldn't be turned away? Thank you for the advice Smiley smile

With an enforced dress-code, most likely they will be turned away of they don't abide by it.

I worked in a historic bar with an enforced dress-code. Folks who didn't meet it were told to leave.
