Reserved ceremony seating?

FutureMrsAF, on June 16, 2017 at 9:07 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 7

Are you placing signs at the ceremony for parents/grandparents at the ceremony? Where did you find them? Having trouble finding signs that specify who it is reserved for.

Our usher is only 12, FH's nephew. He's not incompetent of course but might not remember where I've instructed him to take certain people and he might not remember say who my grandma is since he doesn't know her. Should I have him ask who the person is and seat them accordingly?

Etsy had some reserved signs, but im sure you could even diy a little card out of poster board or something and set it on the seat (or punch holes and tie string through to hang) , they dont need to be fancy theyll be removed after a few minutes.

I'm printing mine on card stock, and tent-folding them.

I just went to Staples and purchased a small box of tented cards from Avery, and printed names on them. I only needed to do that for my immediately family. My parents are divorced, and I wanted them to sit in certain seats/rows. I had my DOC put them on the chairs for me.

I actually didn't even realize we didn't have these until right now. I think most people understand the first two ish rows are reserved for family. idk that you'd really need them.

Yes! I am reserving the first row for specified family. I am just going to print their names on a nice piece of paper and tape them to the back of the seat.

@bemyguest, yeah I probably don't, but on the off chance that someone who is not family is like "sweet, front row seating" and takes over, it would be embarrassing for them and whoever has to ask them to move for grandma and grandpa lol
