FH and I have been together for almost ten years. We've gone on several trips together, but never actually just the two of us! There's always someone else with us whether it be friends or family (which is OK). We've been to Chicago many times to visit his family with his parents, we've gone to San Diego to visit my family, Disneyland with my siblings, Italy with his parents, Big Bear Lake with friends and so on...
Well, today we booked a four-day three-night stay at a lovely AirBnB in Lake Tahoe, just the two us! No plans, just us doing what we want. We were actually looking to go here for our honeymoon since it is relatively inexpensive and close to home (we live in Las Vegas). The weekend we are going there is the weekend we were actually supposed to get married but had to postpone.
We are so excited to spend some time away from everything in about 8 weeks and celebrate what would have been our wedding day.
