Resending invitations?

Jodie, on July 6, 2020 at 5:31 PM Posted in Planning 0 8
We had to change our wedding date due to covid. We were thinking instead of ordering invitations and sending them out again (it got pretty pricey) what are your thoughts on sending them electronically? I was also thinking of just ordering some for the guests who don’t do well with technology.
Ps. I tried to make that sound as nice as possible no effence to them I’m terrible with tech stuff too😂 just trying to make everything easier for everyone!

Have you checked into Vistaprint? They are very inexpensive (on top of having sales all the time) with a huge variety of design options. Yes, it is great that you are thinking of those who aren't tech savvy, which isn't limited to age.

You would just need 2 pieces (invite and reply) with envelopes instead of multiple pieces that a full set offers, so that would cut costs drastically.

You can still send invites and make them cheaper. We got a digital template off Etsy and had them printed locally it ended up being 50 cents and invite plus the stamp. And we did an electronic rsvp. Majority of our guests were not good with tech so we opted for this way. The template was a pdf so you can do electronically for those who can handle it as well!

Maybe do a change the date instead and a postcard would save you $ in terms of printing and postage.

We didn’t send new invites. Just a simple “change the date” card with online RSVP

My friends used Paperless Post for their save the dates and the guests replied to them with their addresses, so I think that would work well for invitations. Also, I know they (kind of ironically) make paper* invitations, so you could probably get printed invitations that match your electronic ones.

*They definitely sell them at Paper Source and I think a few other places have them too.
