Hi all! Happy Friday.
Any one have experience with these? I figured it would be great to have in hand for the backyard in case footwear is an issue for anyone- but wondering if anyone had firsthand Rescue flats? 1

I’ve been to a wedding that had these! They are a cute idea. But as far as whether they are worth getting, it’s really dependent on what you want to accomplish with them. On the plus side, they are nice for any guest that may have uncomfortable shoes, and they come in colors that will generally look good with most dresses, so guests won’t have to worry about looking silly if they wear them. That being said, they are not the same quality as a basic flat you would buy at a store. They are more like flimsy slippers on top, with a hard sole; definitely not something that will ever be worn again. And at the wedding I saw them at, everyone thought they were a great idea, but only a couple people actually used them. So at the end of the night, the bride had a nearly full box left over and was trying to give them away.

Thank you for the feedback! My backyard is mostly flat - but I am not sure if everyone will wear appropriate footwear for the backyard. They are pricey though so I am on the fence.

At my cousin’s wedding, she had a basket of just regular flip flops (like the ones you get at Old Navy) for ladies to change into if they wanted to. They were cheap enough that if she had extra and wasn’t able to return them, it wouldn’t be a big deal.

I would be more likely to put on flipflops as PP said, but if you make it known to your guests that your wedding is in grass, people should choose shoes accordingly. Smiley smile

Same, I would rather wear flip flops. But if it was me I would just publicize the fact that you will be standing on grass on your website in multiple places and assume people will dress accordingly.

Thank you - the more I look into it - I think I will buy some flip flops to have on hand - and the invitation will include a "Keeping it Casual.." card that explains dress code - grass etc.

Yes - flip flops seem to be the clear winner - and much more cost effective! Win WIn

These are 100% times better/easier than flip flops to dance in because your feet won’t slide out when you move. Given the choice between heels and flip flops, I will wear the heels till they hurt and go barefoot before I attempt to dance in flip flops. These are much better than your $2 Old Navy flip flops by miles.

I think it’s a good concept but honestly for $300+ a box it’s not really worth it. Flip flops is more practical, I will be getting my bridal party custom flops costing no more than $30.

Yeah - it seemed like a cool idea - but flip flops actually sound like they have more cushion to them as well for walking on uneven ground - that's what I did was a variety of flip flop sizes for guests

Exactly, those flats are not that comfortable and I really think not many would use them afterwards which is also a waste especially considering how much they are. I’ve been to several weddings and it’s always a habit for me and my friends and family to bring flats or sandals to slide into after pictures lol
