If you don't have your heart set on diamond, I would look at some alternative stones, such as moissanite. Charles and Covard sells them on their website, or you could go to Joseph Schubach jewelers or anywhere else that sells that stone, depending on where you are geographically.

We went to an actual local jeweler and not a chain retail store. The quality of the diamonds at a store like Jared, Kay etc are actually not of the value promote them to be. Like PP have said choosing an alternative stone would be another option. I’ve seen quite a few rings that aren’t diamonds & are beautiful..I actually want that for my wedding band.

We got mine at James Allen too! My ring is the most beautiful piece of jewelry. Lol of course I’m biased. I got a blue sapphire. They have sapphires in all colors and emeralds and rubies and you can choose one of their many settings. They also have diamonds If that’s what you want. They have Canada 🇨🇦 Mark diamonds and colored diamonds. And I think they made the most beautiful ring. And the price was great. You may still be able to get the 25% off sale price. I didn’t get my wedding band from them, I got that a local jewelry store. Simple diamond band. But it is gorgeous. You will not regret James Allen. Also if you want a moisonnaite, they will even set in one of their many settings. Happy hunting. But I highly recommend them!

Definitely go to a local jeweler! FH got mine at a local jeweler and it is very good quality ring, I just love it. Kay Jewelry, is so pushy, and I believe you are definitely paying more the name.
