Renz Rags GOOD Reviews?

Why are you asking for good reviews only...you have already read a ton of bad reviews and that should be enough to deter you from using them.

You are basically looking for validation to make a bad decision

Don't do it. Bad reviews say it all. Why risk it on something as big as your wedding day?

Why not trust the reviews that exist?

This is like all those posts that say, "I hear self-catering is bad and can make people sick. Can you tell me some stories about times when it was good?" If you are hearing that the dresses smell bad and are late in arriving, there is a very good chance that will happen to you. Why risk it just because?

I wore a Renz Rag BM dress. the only thing that had to be altered was the hem. everything else fit perfectly and the dresses were really pretty. All the girls liked them a lot.

I'll be using them for my BM's dresses because the experience was positive.

Really? I thought they were so highly recommended! I suggested my MOH go through them

FYI - every Renz Rags dress I was considering had identical images to a site called "June Bridals" and they ship from China.

JuneBridals from my research seems to possibly have previously been called "Adoring Dress" and has some pretty icky reviews as well.

ETA: There are definitely people who've had good luck, but I also work with a woman who was a BM and the party ordered from there and the dresses were not all the same, sizing was off, and some of the dresses had unfinished seams. It's a risk - could turn out either way. Depends if you want to do it or not.

Try Azazie. Low cost, free custom sizing, you can create showroom of your favorite styles, share the showroom with your girls.

Also sorry to hijack your thread, but i test ordered my girls BM dresses to be super sure i wanted to use them and the dress came out exactly as pictured. Attached here is the dress my girls will be wearing. So I've actually had 2 good experiences

Thanks guys! I ask for good because people were saying that the good reviews were fake. There are far more good reviews than bad but I know that people are more likely to review when they're upset with something. The bad reviews I have read were from 3+ years ago so I wanted to make sure that I got recent reviews.

In a way I am "validating" making a risky decision becuase i'm so set on these dresses but it's reassuring to see real life examples of experiences with them.

I had the same concern after reading some negative reviews. But I went back and searched the WW forum archives and saw positive reviews. I'm 98% certain I'm going with them. Maybe have your MOH order first to test, and if it's a dud, find somewhere else? If so, please report back to us.

I had a bridesmaid order her gown for my wedding last April from them. It was gorgeous. I did need a little alteration but she has odd measurements in the first place so that was to be expected. I am actually going to order my dress for another friend's wedding from them here soon. I'll let you know if it's anything but a positive experience

I did. I was extremely happy with everything. I ordered them quite early, we did the set sizes and just had them taken in being that some of the complaints were that the dresses that were made to fit a person didn't actually fit and sometimes were too small. My bridesmaids were very happy, they are reasonably priced, and I would say that the quality was comparable to the wedding retail stores.

Don't order from them, or if you do, just plan on major alterations. We ordered several dresses recently and after receiving them, ALL of them need over $100 in alterations. One of the dresses even had a really gross coating on the fabric and smelled awful. Worst of all, RenzRags is doing nothing to make anything better. The dresses themselves are beautiful, but what you see isn't necessarily what you will get. And based on the quality and construction, I don't really think they are who they say they are as being a "boutique" shop. We had really great luck with Azazie and I'm wishing everyone had just ordered from them. With RenzRags, you are screwed if the dress doesn't fit, whereas Azazie stands behind their products 100% and allows returns. You can even try on some of their sample dresses ahead of time to see quality and sizing. best of luck!

I was just in a wedding in August where the entire bridal party purchased dresses from this shop. There were MANY issues. My dress was $150 and I ended up spending an additional $200 on alterations despite the "custom sizing". Here were some of my own issues (not counting the issues also experienced by the other bridesmaids in the wedding):

Hem was at least 5" too long, even after providing my height and shoe height

Cups for the breast/chest area were at least a size too big and made me look like a little kid playing dress up

Sides of the dress needed to be brought in at least 2" on each side

Waist needed to be taken in at least 2-3" as well

Overall, I found the experience to be absolutely a waste of time. The dresses come from China, so expect that. The other girls had issues with the length of the dress, again, despite the custom sizing, and with things like having to replace the straps of a halter dress or taking in the chest area.

I would definitely NOT recommend this shop to ANY bride. Don't put your bridesmaids through this. Please.

I had a wonderful experience ordering from Renz for the first time. I ordered a $500 dollar wedding dress for civil ceremony. Given their limited return policy for customized dresses, I was really making a big gamble on that $500. But the dress really looked too good online, so I gave it a try, knowing that I might have to waste $500 bucks on it. The dress took about 5 weeks to arrive. I was biting my nails everyday while waiting for it. Finally it has arrived!! And it really met expectation! I was so excited! The best of all, the dress fit really well, like a glove. I don't even need any alteration (I had planned to pay for some alterations, like to hem the length). But there's really no need. I was pretty impressed at their customization given the mermaid dress I orders is a very fitting dress, so small margin of error. Even the length was perfect when I wore a 3-inch heel. There were areas where the dress differ from what I had expected. For example, the color is a little darker than I thought. It's more of a very light nude than off-white as described online. Also the neckline is a bit higher than I thought (more conservative than I thought). However, given this is from Etsy, not a retail store where I could see and touch the dress in person, I found those minor issues totally acceptable. I had considered buying bridesmaid dresses from Renz as well but wanted to wait until I see how my own dress turned out. Now my dress really gave me confidence to order from them again. Hope this helps. I know there are reviews that says the customized orders does not fit. At least for my own first time order experience, I found their customization very satisfying. And the dress is quite close to the model pics online.
