Renting or buying

Chrisheena, on September 26, 2019 at 9:28 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 11
Ok so I'm debating if I should buy the cloth napkins because it's alil cheaper and I think just doing disposable napkins would look cheap because I'm alsodong the gold chargers. But on the other hand, I dont want to be stuck with a 100 and some napkins but its 40 dollars extra to rent them. So I'm indecisive on what to do.

I bought mine, it was worth it to save the money to me. We gave a few away to family members, we kept a few to use for holidays, and I sold the rest on Facebook marketplace to other brides.

It was worth it to make a few bucks back instead of wasting thousands on rentals.

Only downfall to buying was that I had to iron them all because of wrinkles, whereas a rental company would do that for you. The cost was still worth it to me.

I would buy them if it's cheaper. Just makes sense. You could always sell them on Facebook marketplace or something. Even if you couldn't sell them, just trash them and you would've saved money anyways.

If it's cheaper to buy, I would definitely do it. You can always resell them afterward.

I rented for convenience— so that they arrived washed and folded and wrinkle free and I didn’t have to worry about it at all, and then didn’t have to go back and wash them all after the big day!

You could always sale them later on FB marketplace or local wedding FB groups! I've seen several listings for cloth napkins on FB. Are you doing real dinnerware or hard plastic? I thought about doing cloth napkins, but we're having hard plastic so it'd look weird if the napkins were cloth. We're, also, doing gold chargers as well. I got 3ply blush colored dinner napkins from Amazon that are really nice and not that expensive!

As an alternative, we went with SimuLinen napkins, which are disposable but feel almost fabric like. I ironed and folded them all into pockets to hold the silverware, and they look really nice, and were cheaper than renting or buying fabric napkins.
