Renting or Buying ?

Hottrad1012, on December 21, 2019 at 9:29 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 22
What are folks thoughts about renting the linens or buying? The places I’ve seen to rent are $$.

I’m renting. I am doing it for the convenience and ease. They will deliver them and they will be steamed and ready to go. I just didn’t want to deal with having to do it all myself and after the wedding is over I really have no use for them. So I would have to rely on selling them or something.

We rented them. It was definitely worth the money for the reasons pp listed.

Well dang, I never thought about the steaming/ironing them! We are having a DW and I figured it would be easier to purchase than to try to find somewhere to rent. Now I’m thinking “how on earth am I gonna iron them at the Hotel?!” 🤦🏼‍♀️

Super unpopular opinion and ghastly to the rental lady, but we're skipping linens. Way too much money to spend one something I've literally never noticed at a wedding.

I purchased them and resold on a wedding website. Cheaper than renting.

I bought on tableclothfactory.com. I waited for a discounted flat rate shipping. It was far cheaper than what I found for rent.

Thanks Shelly!! Yeah we would never use them again. Plus less stress and anxiety on the day sounds like a dream.

Chrysta, right I didn’t even think of ironing them either. Maybe steam them to remove the wrinkles and then just fold them up ready for the big day. I hope this discussion post didn’t cause you more stress about your day.

Thank you MaryEllen, that’s what I thought! I hoping to find 20 navy blue linens. Did you have to iron them before the event?

We bought them. We kept some of the afterward for our own dining room table, and sold the rest.

We bought ours. We needed 19 of them at 120 round and paid $151 for them from the table cloth factory's website.

My venue suggested this website to buy the linens. They have sales frequently
