Renting Bridesmaid/Groomsmen attire

Jasmin, on April 22, 2017 at 1:36 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10

We are thinking about renting our parties attire. I've found some websites online like Azazie for bridesmaids and MOH. But I'm wondering if has anyone else thought about doing this too? Or have already done this? How was the experience? I don't want to jump the gun and do this if it's terrible.

We're renting tuxes from MW for the guys, but the ladies all purchased from Macy's. Smiley smile

Plenty of women have used Rent The Runway for their BM dresses.

Azazie is not rentals but we are using them. We are using the Black Tux for groomsmen rentals. Both about $100 and the bm's and gm's enter their measurements online. Union station does rentals for bm dresses.

The Black Tux provide excellent rentals for men. You may also want to consider watching for great sales and having the men buy suits. Macys, for example, has suits on sale this weekend for $99. If you get all the guys' measurements you are ready to jump on a bargain, buy the suits yourself and they can reimburse you.

We rented the men's attire from Xedo. They're entirely online, cheaper than any brick and mortar store we went to, and their customer service was phenomenal! They shipped the tuxes two weeks before the wedding and overnighted replacements for anything that didn't fit (like DH's pants!). We just rented jackets and pants, so it was $125 for each and DH's was free.

Also Azazie doesn't do rentals. They have great dresses for purchase though!

I thought about doing rentals from vow to be chic but decided against it since 3 out of 5 of my BMs are petite and I was worried about length (and didn't want to make them feel like they HAD to wear super high heels). I ended up going with Azazie because the price points are good and it gave everyone variety to choose from.

For the men we are renting from generation tux. I was more comfortable with that because the guys have to put in their exact measurements and the pieces get adjusted accordingly.

The ladies wanted to buy and the guys wanted to rent - we left the decision up to them since it's their money they are spending

the ladies got their dresses from a shop called Mom, Dad & Me here in Illinois and they spent $80 on a LBD that they can truly wear over and over again

the guys are renting from Men's Warehouse and will be spending $100

Our GMs rented from men's wearhouse and my BMs rented from rent the runway. There were a couple issues with rent the runway, and it was sort of stressful the week before the wedding, but everything worked out great!

I just came from Rent the Runway today. My BMs were picking their gowns. They (6 BMs and 1 MOH) decided on 4 different styles of Badgley Mischka gowns. The gown's retail price range from $600-700. But the rental fee is only $100. They send your size and a complementary size of your choice. The rental is for 4 days. So we are renting Wednesday for a Friday wedding, and returning Saturday either by mail or in person drop off. You can rent up to 4 months in advance. The sooner the better so you reserve your style and size.

@ShyBull may I ask what issues your BMs had with Rent the Runway?
