Rental Vases for centerpieces?

Ellen, on June 8, 2015 at 11:11 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 8

Hey guys:

I've got an idea for our centerpieces, but it requires a gold vase. My florist has one, but I don't love it. Anyone know where I can get some for cheap? Possibly rent them?

Thanks,

Ellen

Michaels. The Dollar store is your friend. I'd be slightly worried about somewhere that you could rent a vase.

I looked into renting vases and it was almost $3 per, we hit the dollar store and donated them to a senior center after.

Craft stores, Hobby Lobby has a bunch of different colored vases in the floral section, like a whole wall of them. Otherwise you could totally get plain vases from the dollar store or mix and match from thrift shops and spray paint them and have ones that are definitely the shape/style/whatever that you want.

That's awesome, thanks guys. I don't want to paint them because I'm not terribly crafty and I think it'll cause a lot of anxiety haha.

I've seen people do beautiful things with a can of spray paint and dollar store vases, seriously.

I'm not crafty at all myself, but if you get a primer can and there's tons of different golds (sparkly gold, matte gold, shiny gold, etc.) for you to choose from to get exactly what you want instead of going crazy with your mind and/or wallet trying to find them!

For the bouquets, I bought dollar store vases and silver leafed them (bought on amazon.com). I just had to weigh them down with stones (also dollar store). I am not sure how big you need the vases but that is an option if you want.

Have you tried googling "vintage rentals" in your area? i know near me there are specialty wedding and vintage rental companies that may have something like what you want

Craigslist! With it being wedding season, I'm sure there will be stuff posted soon.
