Brianna, on April 5, 2018 at 2:42 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15

Did anyone on here use a removable skirt with their dress? and if so could you share some pictures?I'm on the fence but I really like the idea of it, I just cant find any non stock photos of women in them!

Thank you!

Do you mean like the shear ones that tie around your waist and you can remove easily? I tried one on during my appointments, and didn't love it on me but I've seen it on other brides and absolutely loved it on others! Something like this?...

Also, there's a girl on this forum (can't remember her name) and she bought an amazing dress and skirt combo. Maybe she'll see this post and comment!

I was looking for one for my gown, but they’re all like $800+... not worth it.. I wanted one but not for that price tag.

I'm getting my dress made by Anomalie and it should be here within the next 30 days, so I haven't had a chance to touch it yet but I will have a detachable skirt, which will only be used for the ceremony and maybe cocktail hour. I tried on one at a local store and had to have it! I felt like a princess but wanted something lighter too! They are also making my sparkly dancing cape and matching veil. I've been very happy with them!

You can probably get it made for half the space by a local tailor or dress maker. I know a girl who had her aunt make it. She just purchase a bunch of tulle and they created a few snaps for it to snap into her dress.

I’d rarher put that money towards a videographer. As much as I want one, I’ll do without.

Yes, exactly like the first one! I really want more of an A-line dress for the ceremony and sheath fit for the reception and figured a skirt would be cheaper than buying two separate dresses.

Some of the ones I saw online are outrageous! My mom is pretty savvy with a sewing machine and I have some basic knowledge so I'm hoping we can make something

I got a tulle skirt to go over my silk dress for $40 from amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Wedding-Planning-WDPL-Womens-Length/dp/B016F1I0TU

I also saw a few like the above posters on aliexpress with decent reviews but I didn’t have enough time to order it. It would be pretty easy to make I think.

I have top and bottom separates! I could have had them sewn together, but opted to keep them separate so possibly I can use them later in life (haha maybe?). If I wanted, I could have went with a shorter skirt and switched after the ceremony, but I didn't want to spend all that money and not wear a poofy ballgown all night Smiley smile
