Relationship status change

Jessica, on June 4, 2019 at 8:32 AM Posted in Planning 0 5
Has anyone had an issue with having the guests names on their invites already and then their relationship status changing? My fiancé’s cousin was engaged, evidently they’ve now split but we had our invitations printed by the stationer so he and his fiancé are on it. Do we give it to him anyway? It feels kinda sad to be like here’s an invitation for you and your ex, but theres nothing I can do about it now?!

Did you not get any extras or blank envelopes? Personally I think you need to do everything you can to not send it with both their names on it. Since you know they broke up, this would be a huge slap in the face to him.

I wouldn't. I would use an extra blank envelope and just run it through your printer (or handwrite it or use a label) with just your cousin's name on it, or your cousin and a plus one.

Yes, I had this happen with a few guests actually and I just ended up using a blank one I had and writing just the one persons name on it.

I agree with PPs. It stinks you have to do extra work, but you should redo his invitation.

We have a few extras I can use. And no one even told us they split. My fiancé was scrolling through Facebook and happened to see him trying to sell the ring, so he almost ended up with it anyway cause I already sent the rest out
