Rehearsal RSVPs

Amanda, on June 26, 2016 at 4:24 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 11

I am having everyone respond to the wedding/reception through our wedding wire website.

Is there a way to do it for the rehearsal dinner for those who are only invited. As in not everyone is invited to the rehearsal dinner.

Beware, I've heard nightmare stories about the website not working for people. Do you have a back up plan?

I would think you'd need a separate page/link for the rehearsal dinner. Usually only key people are invited to that dinner anyway so you don't need to worry about inviting everyone.

My friend 's MIL hosted their rehearsal dinner, sent out invites and had a gmail account for RSVP, seemed to work well for them.

I'm pretty sure you can. DH and I are invited to a wedding next month and were also invited to RD. We had to RSVP through their website (The Knot). We just entered our name and the info popped up.

I actually don't recommend attaching it to your website. I thought it was rude that every guest could see it.....and I was actually invited to RD. Can you send out an e-invite for RD or it's a small enough guest count just word of mouth? We just emailed our guests with the info and asked them to reply via email, phone or text.

I wouldn't put it on your website... Are you not close enough to your wedding to have call or text their RSVP or see them in person? We just sent out a separate paper invite for the RD and just got RSVPs via text or word of mouth

I'm doing my RSVP online as well on my WW site. It allows you to add and invite people to specific events and only the people invited to a certain event can see or RSVP for it.

How many people are you inviting to the rehearsal? Anyone invited to the rehearsal dinner was invited by a phone call from either myself or my husband. We thought it was more personal. Plus, they were all our closest friends that were invited.

I think it depends on how many people you are inviting to your rehearsal dinner. Our rehearsal dinner is for the people in our wedding party, their SOs, and FH's daughter, who declined to be in the wedding party. We will tell them where and when the rehearsal is and where the dinner is after, either by phone or in person. It's a total of 15 people. I don't think I need RSVPs.

We are going to use Minted.com to send out evites. They are free and it will be easy to track who hasn't RSVPd yet.

I'm sending out invites and put the rsvp as my email. I'm sure most people will just text, call, or tell us in person if they can make it. As PP's have said, these are our closest friends and family so we talk often. I would just do it by word of mouth but I found super cute invites and couldn't resist. I wouldn't put the RSVP on your website, seems like it could be difficult for guests and possibly cause problems.

We are using wedding wires website for RSVP. I was able to add the rehearsal dinner and select which guests were invited. I have heard nothing but how easy it was for everyone to rsvp!

Have people RSVP by email, not on the wedding website.
