Rehearsal Luncheon?

Stefeni, on January 17, 2017 at 4:32 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4

Hey I just wanted to know if anyone has heard of a rehearsal Luncheon instead of a dinner? I was thinking at a park to keep the Littles occupied? It's going to be really laid back. Would that be weird?

Nope it's fine. They're not even required really, we had a family dinner in place of a rehearsal basically. Very chill.

Generally rehearsals are the evening below, which is Friday in most cases. Would everyone have to take off of work for a rehearsal luncheon?

A rehearsal luncheon in general isn't weird. I went to one for my cousin's wedding...the wedding was on a Sunday, so she had the rehearsal luncheon on Saturday so that people didn't need to be out late the night before the wedding. It was actually really nice. In your case though, it looks like your wedding is taking place on a Saturday. If you want your rehearsal to be the day before the wedding, I would rethink the luncheon idea because it would likely require your bridal party and family to take the day off of work if they wanted to attend.

I am planning a rehearsal luncheon. It makes the most sense for a morning rehearsal.

My wedding is on a Sunday, and there is another wedding the Saturday before (honestly every fri & sat which is why ours is Sunday). Our rehearsal will be Sat morning, before the other couple needs the space to begin decorating and setting up; rehearsal luncheon to follow.
