Rehearsal Dinner

Natalie, on September 6, 2024 at 9:33 AM Posted in Planning 0 3
Our venue was only able to accommodate at noon rehearsal since our wedding is during the holiday season. Our rehearsal dinner is planned to be in the same city as our rehearsal. The only problem is, the venue is too far from most people's houses for them to go home in between. Any suggestions for what to do during the in-between time? There are a lot of wineries in the area, maybe we could go grab a glass somewhere? What is the earliest we could have a rehearsal dinner?

Have you considered a rehearsal luncheon? Nothing requires it to be dinner.

I agree with Andrea, you could do a rehearsal lunch! Otherwise, if you really wanted to do a rehearsal dinner, wine tasting at a nearby winery sounds like a great way to entertain everyone before the dinner. If you go that route, I recommend choosing somewhere that also offers beer/cider and non-alcoholic options (just in case any of your guests don't want to drink wine), and you should also plan to cover the tab for everyone if you're requesting that they go to the winery.

Like others said, make it a rehearsal lunch. then you can always say you're going to go to the winery or something for a drink after the luncheon if anyone wants to join you.
