Rehearsal Dinner Locations, Morristown, NJ

Sheila, on September 19, 2016 at 3:19 PM Posted in Planning 0 12

Hello, All!

I am getting married in Morristown, NJ on April 22, 2017. I am from NJ originally, but currently live out of state. I am looking for suggestions about where to have our rehearsal dinner. I would prefer to stay as close to Morristown as possible, and would like to find somewhere with a private room that can accommodate roughly 40 people. Any insight would be helpful!

Hi, Sheila! I know you want to be close to Morristown, but there's a very good steakhouse in Montclair, called Rare, it's delicious, and they accommodate a group of 40 with no problems. You will have your own room. The service is outstanding and the food is to die for! Best of luck!

Have you looked at Cherry Hill at all? I know they have a Maggianos and a Cheesecake Factory

ETA: I just realized you are looking at Morristown, not Moorestown so ignore my comment, I have no idea for North Jersey.

Jockey Hollow is completely gorgeous and stylish; I'm so looking forward to officiating there.

The Olde Mill has a two beautiful rooms, and their food is really, really good.

Montclair isn't the end of the world, travel wise...where is your wedding going to be happening?

You definitely have LOTS of good choices!!!

    Jockey Hollow is GORGEOUS.

George and Martha's has private space.

Pazzo Pazzo has a nice atmosphere.

Urban Table does not have a private space but it is right on the Green as is Roots.

Are you looking for somewhere directly ON the green or are you willing to travel a little?

If so, you could do Tabor Road Taven in Parsippany (awesome) or the Huntley Taverne in Summit (also awesome, owned by same people).

    Or Arthurs in Morris Plains?

Thank you, all! We are getting married at Assumption Church in Morristown and then having guests stay at the Madison Hotel, which is beautiful. We have looked into the Madison Hotel for a venue for the rehearsal dinner and I will be researching all these other wonderful options!

    Still going...

    Rods is nice too.

There is a new place called H20 in East Hanover that people say is awesome. I've never been but you may have luck on pricing since they are new / up & coming.

Also, what about La Campagna. Excellent food and good for groups though I don't know if they have a private room but it is a small so you could probably use the entire space.
