Hello WW,

So I need honest opinions and feedback. Are rehearsal dinner invitations a thing? Does this apply to all scenarios? In our case, we are only having the wedding party and immediate family in attendance. We aren't inviting out of town guest etc. So everyone who are at our actual rehearsal already will be in attendance. Do I still need to send a formal invitation? Or do I need to send an invite for the rehearsal? Lost & Confused on this aspect of wedding etiquette.

Thanks in advance.

Informal invitations like word or mouth, phone, note, text, or email are fine, unless it is itself a very formal dinner. Sit down, formal linens and table decor, waitstaff, etc. mean it is formal enough to call for a written invitation well in advance, or a personal phone call when notice of date, time , place details are only given in the last 2 weeks or so.

I did it by word of mouth, text message, and facebook event to those invited which was wedding party and their dates, and immediate family.
