Rehearsal Attire...jeans?

Mrs. P, on March 25, 2018 at 10:52 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11
Our rehearsal dinner is at our venue being catered by our reception caterer. She’s making a BBQ menu (pulled pork, brisket, baked beans...). Is it appropriate to just tell everyone to dress casual (jeans/T-shirt’s). I was thinking of getting Bride/Groom shirts for FH and me.

I don’t see why it wouldn’t be appropriate? Sounds pretty casual.

You can dress as casual as you like. Many people prefer the evening before the wedding to be more relaxed.

That's what we did. We had a very casual rehearsal dinner at a local BBQ place and I wore a sweater with jeans.

Sounds like fun! Just make sure the messaging is out there. I was in a wedding and the bride told us to wear black dresses and heels for the rehearsal dinner which was on the church fellowship hall not booze etc. We’ll i arrive and the groom is there in jeans but the rest of us were told not jeans. It was so silly.

I think so ! Bbq dinner would be awkward in cocktail dresses! I’m going to just wear whatever summer dress feels good on that day (lol) . My cousin wore a brown sweatshirt and sweatpants to hers ( it was a little too casual I suppose )

Sure. Ours was casual and we rocked jeans and hoodies, helped that it was like ,6 degrees outside too.

I think jeans are fine. We just made a note in the wedding website that the attire for the event is "casual". We didn't give any additional details.

Yes, totally fine! We're getting married at a boy scout camp, so we're having a relaxed rehearsal dinner with pizza and a bonfire. All of our family members are excited about not having to dress up twice in a row.

Rehearsals can be however you want them. I’m sure your guests would appreciate being able to go as is
