Regret not wearing a veil?

My current plan is to not wear a veil. I will probably do flowers or something of that nature. However, I've had a few people tell me that if I don't wear one that I will definitely regret it because I will "not feel like a bride." My ceremony is outdoors and I just foresee more potential problems...

My ceremony is outdoors and I just foresee more potential problems (the wind turning it into a kite?) with having it than not. Any married ladies that didn't wear a veil have any regrets? Pros and Cons from Veil vs No Veil?

Try one on and then make you decision. I said I'd never wear a blusher, but I tried it and I fell in love with the look.

My SIL bought a veil on ETSY.. you can find some pretty cheap on there. She ended up not wearing it but she had it on hand in case, and she didn't feel bad about losing out on $30. Smiley smile

E-Tex, I feel awful but that story made me laugh! Anna Kay, I haven't tried on a veil with my dress yet. You girls have so many pros and cons for both ways. One of the main reasons I'm leaning against it is that one night several months ago FH was having a rare sappy moment and talking about how beautiful he imagined I would look on our wedding day coming down the aisle with flowers in my hair. He probably doesn't even remember it, but it just stuck with me Smiley smile. I will probably try one on just to make sure I don't get the "ah ha oh my goodness" moment. I don't believe that I will. I believe flowers are more our style. But at least I will have tried it just to be sure.

I was not planning to wear a veil, but when I went dress shopping and I found my dress, the consultant put a veil on me just to show me how it would look. And now I think I might want a veil. It's a goid idea to try it and see what you think. You might go "meh" and then you'll know you won't have any veil regret. Or, you might change your mind!

I can't speak from personal experience, but I really don't think there's anything wrong with not wearing a veil. Plenty of brides have done it. Maybe you can wear a pretty hair accessory instead of a veil.
