A variety of price ranges: You want to have small items or bigger items people can contribute less than the total price to. You want to make sure that the guests who do not have a lot to give still feel like they can give something. At the same time, you want to allow those who want to splurge to do so without having to get some ridiculous number of items. You may also want to give a delivery option where they dont have to lug their gift for you to your wedding. If they can have it shipped to you directly, its less hassle.

If you are looking for specifics, there really arent any. My FH and I just moved into our first house so we need almost everything. Each situation is different. Do you have something you want to replace or something you need or even just really want? add that stuff and see what price ranges you've left out. go from there. There is no real right or wrong as long as expectations arent exuberant.

I don't really think there are "must haves." It's all about what you and your FH need and want. Are your bath towels old and ripping, put new towels on the registry! Do you already live together and have everything you need? Start a honeymoon fund! We had a variety of things, bedding, plates, glasses, curtains, a vacuum, small appliances.... but there aren't any rules! Make it your own.

I agree with Kristal....a wide variety of price ranges. I don’t think there’s any specific item you must register for but there should be something in everyone’s price range.

It really depends! We upgraded most of our household items like cooking supplies and towels. It's really whatever you see fit

If you create a registry with Target, they give you a checklist of different categories (kitchen, bedroom, etc) with suggestions of items. You certainly don’t need to add everything on the checklist, but it gives a good guideline!

I agree! Target and Bed Bath & Beyond have great checklists! I also agree with the PP who said a variety of price ranges! make sure that you won't leave guests scrambling looking to afford something on your lists!

Yes! We loved Target and BBandB's registry. Just looking for suggestions on things we might have missed.
