Registry Item Removal

Mandi, on February 22, 2020 at 5:37 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 7
We [reluctantly] added some items to one of our registries after we realized it was the most popular registry. But I definitely prefer some of the sheets and towels on our Target registry to our Bed Bath & Beyond registry. Would it be rude after the bridal showers to remove some of those items in an attempt to persuade people to purchase items off of Amazon and Target registries or give cash instead. Without blatantly asking.

Nope. The gift givers probably won’t even know the items were on there as you don’t want to have people pay for something you don’t really want in the first place.

No one will even notice and it’s your registry, it should be what you want. I’m definitely obsessed with target lol so I would have used that too if I didn’t have my online Zola one. I have been to weddings where people brought physical gifts, usually local ones, not ones where people were traveling like ours.

I only have one registry for this reason. I have it at Target and felt it was cost effective for my guest and less crazy. To answer your question I don't think its a bad idea to remove items from one registry so you can get what you want on another.

No one will notice what items you remove from your registry.

If our closest Target wasn't a 2 hour drive away, I wouldn't have bothered eith Bed Bath & Beyond.

I don't think so. Your guests will only be concerned with buying items you want so if you want to remove/add items, go for it.
