Registry Info on Bridal Shower Invites

TealWedding, on April 30, 2017 at 3:24 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 10

Hello! Ok my mom asked me to help pick out the invitations for the bridal shower. She's planning everything but asked for my help on this. I've noticed that most invitations will say "Laura is Registered at Crate and Barrel" or where ever you're registered.

My question is does this break the etiquette rule of registry information on an invitation? And if it is acceptable, how do you say you're registered at 3 stores? Or should we just put our wedding website? Like "For Registry Information Please Visit the Wedding Website at..." help!

It's fine to put registry info on the shower invitation, and you can just list the 3 stores

I've never NOT seen it included. If you're registered it goes on the shower invite.

It's fine for the host to list registry info on shower invites. The shower is different from the wedding.

You can list all three places on the invite or on a separate card. "Laura is registered at Macy's, Target, and Crate and Barrel".

It might just be easier to put For registry info and post it as a link on the card. If the ladies are OG and not savvy on the computer though they may need to know which shops you are registered at so be ready for questions for the older ladies.

I registered at 3 stores, and I told my MOH to just put my website and pin info on the invites.

Registry info on *wedding* invitations is faux pas. Including registry info with a shower invitation is fine, and kind of the point.

Listing the stores is fine, I personally like the look of having that info on an insert.

I agree with the insert idea, unless you have the extra room on the shower invite itself but for three stores I would definitely say a quarter sheet of cardstock with the info printed on it would do the trick!

I think it is fine for the shower invites. It is against etiquette to include in your actual wedding invites.

Kind of related to this... we aren't having a shower. So on our wedding invites is it ok to just put "For more information please check out our wedding website"? And then have registry info on that?

I have seen it on bridal shower invitations and every wedding invite I can remember has where the couple is registered at on it. Not everyone has the time or the want to create a wedding website and maybe not all your guests will have access to a website either. I must live in a different place than everyone else because I've never heard of this rule of not putting your registry information on the invitation.
