Registry gift delivered with no name?

Alicia, on July 31, 2017 at 12:50 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 7

The title basically says it all, I had a registry gift delivered from amazon without a name, and because it was a gift there is no return address or anything.

What is the polite way to go about figuring out who sent it? I don't want to make people feel guilty if they did not buy anything, but I also want to make sure I thank (send a thank you card) to whoever did send it.

If you are having a shower you may have someone bring a card with a note about them sending a gift. Also if you are part of the Virtual showering on here it could be from one of the ladies on here. Someone also may tell you they bought it later down the line. I have had to show people in my family how to add the gift giver name to a gift lately because my sister-in-law did her baby registry that way. They may not have known where to enter it. I wouldn't stress to much over it because honestly there is not much you can do when there is no name.

I did not have a shower, my wedding is Saturday, and the gift was just delivered. I'm sort of hoping someone mentions/asks if I enjoyed the gift.

Did you set up a registry with Amazon? If you did, there's a section of the registry called Thank You Lists and Returns - you can see who bought it from there.

Amazon has a place where you can see who bought you what. Check that!

OP - it only works if the gift was from the registry, but it definitely works that way. Short of that, try getting in touch with Customer Service; they may be able to let you know who sent it.

Ask the store to investigate it for you.

eta: Oh, ok, Amazon, yeah they can help you Smiley smile
