Red to a wedding?

This was an old school rule where people shouldn't wear red, black, or white to a wedding. Now, no one really observes this except maybe the one about wearing white. I personally wouldn't care if anyone wore red, and in fact, some people did since it was in December.

I love colors, so I’m always wearing something bright. To me, colors are beautiful and fun and show happiness. I’d much rather someone wear a scarlet red than a boring black, beige or navy. Yawn! As long as it’s not a white it’s fine. I also try to avoid the wedding color, but sometimes you don’t know so it can happen unintentionally.

Personally, I don't wear *black* to weddings, but I've always associated wearing a black dress with funerals, so that's why. Red? Sweet, nice pop of color in the pictures!

I could understand if one of your wedding colors were red, maybe she doesn't want to take away from decorations, or maybe she just wants you to approve so the day is perfect in every way! Hope this helps and good luck!
