I’m getting married next year and I have 5 bridesmaids and 1 MOH. Our color scheme is dark red and black. I decided to have my bridesmaids wear dark red/burgundy dresses but in a chiffon material (any style they want) and I would like my MOH to wear black to stand out but I’m not sure if that would look nice? Any thoughts or advice would be great, thank you!

My colors were black and red as well but my bridesmaids all wore the same style dress and my maid of honor wore a different style. If I could go back and do it again I'd let them all pick their own style. My maid of honor also had a slightly different bouquet than the bridesmaids. I think it might seem a bit odd to have one in black and the rest in red.

5 bridesmaids is enough to have the MOH in a different color if you prefer that. (It looks a little odd with just 2 or 3 bridesmaids!) I’m personally not a big fan of the style, so I would just put them all in the red and give her a different bouquet if you want to distinguish her.
