Recessional song

What are you using for your ceremony exit song? I have my entrance & the wedding party entrance song, but can’t think of a good exit song.

I'm traditional, so we are using Mendelssohn's Wedding March.

We’re using “Don’t you forget about me.” It has a special meaning to us, and I thought that was the best time to use it during the day.

Haha thanks! The best part is that the beginning of the song kinda sounds like the wedding march, so people who don’t know star wars literally didn’t even think twice about it 😂 and people who did told me they were really confused at first and their thought processes were like “wait...... this sounds like Star Wars... IS it star wars......? OMG IT IS” hahaha. Especially because we had my friend playing it as a solo on the flute so it was even more subtle/less easy to distinguish :p I felt like it was sort of an “Easter egg” for people who figured it out and it was so fun!

We did “Safe and Sound” by Capitol Cities because it was so upbeat and had meaning to us. We had a second song, “All I Am” by Jess Glynn, on queue as the second song in case it took longer for everyone to exit the ceremony area because we didn’t want it just to be silent with people milling about (and for the record, we did need the second song 😂). All I Am had come out a month or two before our wedding and just seemed like a good, peppy, love-ish song to get people pumped for the festivities to follow.
