Reception questions

Valerie, on October 26, 2019 at 11:01 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 8

Hi

Couple of questions totally unrelated

Are any ladies putting out personal items in the ladies room at your venue and if so what items?

I am doing a candy table and looking for recommendations of what candies to appeal to everyone

Thank you!

I didn't put anything out. There were also a few different bathrooms. I feel like most peippe just bring whatever or if they didn't, it is something they can get by without. I've honestly never used any of the stuff in those baskets and I didn't have the time to spend on putting them together.

As far as candy, maybe getting things that are within your color scheme? I also think candy is often either chocolate based or gummy based, so maybe having a mix of each to appeal to a larger crowd of guests?

If you’re going to do baskets, you should do them for both restrooms, not just the women. I would include things like tissues, bobby pins, spray deodorant, mints or gum, mouthwash, oil blotting sheets, makeup wipes, stain remover pen, safety pins, ibuprofen, qtips, and floss.

Yes what Caytlyn said. I also had hairspray, tampons, tissues, band aids, bathroom spray and a few other things he and then also one in the men’s room. Honestly most of it was never touched so don’t feel like you have to do it

I have seen the bathroom baskets at the last few weddings I went to. I think they are great ideas because I always only bring a small purse because I don't want to dance with a huge purse. If no one ends up taking the stuff, I guess you have some stuff you can use later.

I had a candy bar and included several varieties of hard candy, gummy candy, and chocolate candy. I recommend buying the name brand candy, not generic (ex. actual M&Ms not generic chocolate pieces). We wanted to keep things in the same color theme so we got red, white, and red/white candies but this is not necessary.

As for the bathroom basket, we just did one for the ladies' restroom and included things like mints, gum, lip balm, hair elastics, bobby pins, tampons, band aids, safety pins, ibuprofen, tissues, and hand lotion. Most of the items were used by the guests and I even used the safety pins because my bustle broke during the dancing.
