Are you having a DJ? We had a DJ so we only had to select songs for the bridal party introduction, our introduction, first dance, father/daughter dance, mother/son dance, and cake cutting. Otherwise, our DJ was able to read the room and decide what would be best. Our DJ was amazing.

For end of ceremony we used “I do” by colbie caillat
For bouquet toss we used “dear future husband” by Meghan trainor
As for the other stuff you can also take requests by your guests

I included a line on the RSVP cards for guests to offer up a song they would like to hear at the reception. As for ceremony music, there are so many options. I looked at a lot of online lists before we chose ours. The only thing we knew for certain was FH wants me to walk down the aisle to Christmas Canon by Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

There are countless lists online (do a Google search or Pinterest) of suggestions. You can listen to them on Youtube.

Before/during/after the ceremony, you may have restrictions if you are marrying in a church since they tend to only allow religious music from a preset list. If you aren't marrying in a church, you can use anything, with lyrics or instrumentals. Do you have favorite soundtracks? Vitamin String Quartet does covers of alot of popular music and you can listen to samples on their website.

Cocktail hour/dinner music is generally jazzy instrumentals or old standards (Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Etta James, etc) according to most dj lists posted online. But you can use anything you like.

Dance floor music is usually something anything fun and danceable. It doesn't have to be all slow love songs. Whatever fun party music your dj has that your guests enjoy.

Ask your dj for dollar dance suggestions.

Cake cutting again can be anything fun. Sugar by Maroon 5, Pour Some Sugar On Me by Def Leppard, Recipe For Love by Harry Connick Jr as examples.

Not sure what the difference between exit and last songs are. But they're typically something slow and romantic but they can be fun too. Entirely your choice. Save the Last Dance For Me by Michael Buble/Drifters or Time of Your Life by Green Day.

Garter/bouquet toss has a million options too that you can find on Youtube. Raining Men, Dear Future Husband, Girls Like You, etc etc.

If you're having a DJ, I'd discuss this with them. Our DJ actually limits the number of songs we can request for different times because they feel like it limits their ability to read the room and keep the party going. Maybe ask them what they do accept requests for and what they are okay with you asking for?

We dove into Spotify for ideas, and then gave that list to our DJ.

A good DJ will take what you like, what you don't like, and what your crowd likes, into consideration.

The listed I made above is actually what my DJ is requesting from me.

:-) I really have went back on quite a few. We both love many genres and wanted the music to be eccentric like us. We wanted music that really represented each event. I had always dreamed of walking down the aisle to cannon but when we were listening to different songs together and seeing my fiance's face during celine Dion's version of fools rush in I knew without doubt that would be the perfect entrance song
