Reception only invitation wording

We are having a private ceremony and the day after will have a larger gathering celebrating our marriage. I'm a little unsure how to word the invitations though. A lot of the examples I've seen are either inviting guest to the reception immediately following a private ceremony or have the date, usually about a month before, that the couple got married and inviting to a reception. We are not calling it a reception because it is not right after the ceremony and I feel it's not far enough in advance to put the date we will be married. I'm worried that people will be confused. If you have any wording suggestions I would appreciate it.

Are you planning on your invitations being more formal or informal? That might make a difference. You could say something like " Join us for dinner and dancing to celebrate our marriage...etc." or whatever you're planning to do. If you still aren't sure that your point is being made, word of mouth works wonders!
