My fiancé and I are trying to figure out what to feed our guests for cocktail hour and reception. What’s being served on your special?

For cocktail hour, we're just doing meat & cheese trays and fruit & veggie trays. Shouldn't be more than an hour and dinner starts at 5 so I know people won't be starving.

For dinner, we're having a buffet with pulled barbecue pork, fried chicken, macaroni & cheese, hash & rice, baby limas, corn, and rolls.

We're having different types of cheese, breads, and pickles for the cocktail hour. For the reception, we're having teriyaki grilled chicken, pork loin, mac and cheese, green beans, a mashed potato bar, and hawaiian rolls. Smiley smile

We had 7 different passed hors d'oeuvres. (they were chefs choice but we told them what we liked and didn't like)

i know we had pigs in a blanket, spring rolls, kalamata bruschetta, some type of filet mignon, mini cheeseburgers and fries, fried mozzarella. etc.

We got married on a vineyard, so for cocktail hour, we served a Charcuterie spread, cheeses, fruits, and fresh breads with vinegars and oils.

Spinach puffs, BBQ Meatballs, Stuffed Porcini Mushrooms, and Norwegian Smoked Salmon will be served during our cocktail hour. Tried to have somewhat of a variety since we know some guests are vegetarian or simply don't eat meat.

Cocktail hour will just be simple appetizers like a veggie tray, meat & cheese tray, antipasto and the cookie table.

Dinner is a served buffet. We're having Roast Beef & Stuffed Chicken Breast as our entrees. Sides will include Twice Baked Mashed Potatoes, Glazed Carrots, Salad and Rolls. Nothing too fancy, but the food is delicious and I think our guests will be happy.

Cocktail hour we get our choice of 2 hot and 2 cold appetizers. I am leaning towards the fruit, veggie, cheese and bread tray along with bruschetta, fried ravioli and ? not sure on the last one yet maybe mac and cheese bites.

Dinner so far is looking like a ceasar salad, chicken marsala, Beef sirloin tips, Greens, roasted red skin potatoes with herbs, and garlic mashed potatoes or mac and cheese.
