I'm not a big fan of having the cake table right in front of the head table

I agree, not a fan of having cake table in front of head table.

I like your setting, but I think I would have my gift table away from the photo booth. It looks good. Yes I agree about the cupcake table.

My phone doesn't seem to be showing the photo booth. Maybe it is cropped. I agree about the cake table, and I'm also wondering if the DJ booth is really close to that first guest table? Is there room to back it up a bit?

My DJ would not have wanted that spot. DJ needs a clear view of the dance floor and to be a bit away from guest tables. His speakers are loud and annoy guests. I'd put the random guest table in front of the dance floor (closer to head table), photobooth where DJ is, cake table where photobooth currently is, and DJ where random guest table is.

Move the cake near the green tables. Can you limit the green tables to one?

Um, I couldn't have the cake table in front of me. I'd probably just dive into it.

I would rearrange the dj booth. ..it's best to have them facing the dance floor to control the mood and that way you don't make some guests deaf with the sound of the speakers

Agree - move the DJ and cake table for sure. Your venue should have experience with this and know where outlets are. Also add them about flow of traffic. Cramming food and bar into one corner ensures chaotic wait lines, and traffic jam.

I'm not a fan of the cake in front either. May get in the way of pictures. I think the random one table on the edge of the dance floor is odd. Add more to that side or move it somewhere else. And dj is far from the dance floor I think he needs to move closer.

We're having a tent reception, so our DJ wants to be towards the edge. We decided that the guest book and gift table will be inside to limit any sort of 'misplacement' of gifts/cards, and the seating cards will be displayed right outside the entrance to the tent and removed after everyone finds there seats. i'll post another idea we've come up with in a moment.

Here is a layout that both me and my fiance have somewhat agreed on.

The second option is way better. But I'd switch the cake and bar.

I think 2nd option is better. I would like to have my guests together just so the room is not divided since families usually stick with each other. And this is an occasion of 2 families becoming one.

Also, i dont see the green table anymore? Maybe that can go next to the main table..

If you stick with the 1st layout option, I'd move the cake to the top left corner of the layout image. And swap the DJ and the bar, which will cause people to mingle more. I've always heard that drinks and food should be on opposite sides of a room to facilitate flow.

I like the 2nd layout option better overall. However, one drawback is that the dance floor is no longer in the middle.

I like when dance floors are in the middle of the guest tables so people who are seated can easily see your First Dance.

And later in the evening people who are seated may feel inspired to dance b/c they see that other people are dancing.

Another suggestion would be to off center the wedding party table to put the dj closer to the dance floor
