Reception Flow Survey: First Dance, Toast, Food, Cake, Dancing, Other Things....

The dance floor will be open all night and the first dance will begin as soon as everyone has been cleared out of the cocktail hour. As soon as we come through the doors, we will introduce the party, father daughter dance, mother son dance, husband and wife dance & then food. As soon as everyone has placed their orders, I am going back on the dance floor. I may not even taste my food lol (thats a lie because I am so excited to eat there)

Lol, Crystal. The dance floor will be open all night at ours too; hoping people will be dancing all night. I'm thinking we will go straight to the first dance, let everyone eat and then I'll be right back out there too.

So what about cake and toast? I'm wanting to toast while we eat when everyone has some form of a drink near by and then do the cake later, but my FSIL said she thinks cake then toast. ??

Toast and cake right before the food comes out. If you get the things that people are supposed to be quiet and focused for out of the way, your wedding will run efficiently. People love when you get all the words out of the way fast.

We get introduced, do first dance, do toasts, eat dinner, cut cake, special dances, then everyone dances and photobooth.

Hmmmm....including my FSIL that is already four different ideas out of four ladies. Interesting.

We're doing introductions, probably our first dance immediately then right to dinner because we know we'll be hungry, toast during dinner, cut cake, parents dance after dinner while people eating cake, party, garter/bouquet toss, party, married couples dance/advice, party some more lol
