Reception dress

Virginia, on October 13, 2019 at 12:46 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4
My ceremony dress is very tight and I can’t imagine wearing it all night sitting and dancing and eating. With that being said, I plan to change into a more flowy dress for the reception. I’m confused as to when I should change tho? End of cocktail hour and photos? After first dance?

It's really up to you. I wouldn't want to take time away from guests to change after the first dance, so I would do it at the end of cocktail hour. I think it really depends on what you want to wear for your first dance.

I would do it sometime during the reception after you've done your first dance.

Been wondering the same. I’m planning on changing right after dinner/toasts/first dance. Mostly because I’d prefer to do my first dance in my gown. And if I spill something during dinner I’d rather it not be on what I’m wearing the rest of the night

I have been playing w the idea of wearing one dress for first look and pictures w husband and wearing another for the ceremony after. That way he will be surprised again lol and the dress I already have does not allow a lot of movement so I might go for another looser dress
