Receiving line or Mingling

So where I'm from receiving lines are usually expected, but I have a hard time standing longer than ten minutes (heart condition) so do you think we should walk around tables and mingle or just do a receiving line? What did you guys do? Which do you prefer?

Oh jeebs I haven't seen a receiving line in at least 10 years! I had no idea they were still a thing. Lolol.

A wedding FH and I attended a few years ago, the bride and groom mingled so much they decided our party table was so much fun that they stayed throughout dinner.

Receiving lines aren't meant for you to stop and chat for a few minutes. You walk through the line and congratulate the couple and the couple thanks you for coming then you mingle more later. I don't understand why it took 20 minutes for some of the weddings y'all attended but I've been to multiple weddings and IN multiple weddings with receiving lines that were not that slow moving.

As others have said, we plan to do a first look so we can mingle at cocktail hour. I'm way too excited about our cocktail hour to not be a part of it!

I'm planning to have us stop by each table as well.
