I received my garter I am keeping the one with our initials on all night and tossing the purple one . The garter came with doubled sided tape I’ve never worn one do I Received my garter 1

Garters usually have an elastic band that would be used to hold the garter in place. If there's no elastic then yes, you'd likely need the tape.

If it isn't tight enough it will fall down your leg without the tape, that is what I was told lol

If you don't have very slender legs, bigger thighs getting smaller going down will push the garter down to the knee, unless either a garter belt or 2 sided tape is worn, on most women.
