Received empty RSVP envelope...ugh

Dextor3000, on August 29, 2017 at 10:45 AM Posted in Planning 0 4

I mailed my invitations out on Friday, and yesterday I received an empty RSVP envelope. I'm guessing that the entire invitation opened up and the envelope fell out, since there's no way someone would have been able to send an RSVP back so quickly. I've heard from a couple people that they received their invitations, so hopefully it was just this one. Unfortunately I won't know who it was supposed to go to until after the RSVP deadline, unless someone mentions they didn't receive an invite. Ugh. Did this happen to anyone else?

Yes, something very similar happened over here. I have been following up with friends as I see them, "You got your invite, right?" and my parents / FH's parents are doing the same. So far, we still don't know who didn't get their invite and I guess I won't know until I do my follow up calls to the people who don't RSVP. Smiley sad

This exact thing happened to me. Did you number your RSVP envelopes? That is the only way I knew who's envelope had come back empty.

I numbered the actual RSVP cards, but not the envelopes, which I totally regret now.

I used a glue stick to seal my envelopes to try and avoid this. I did not even think to number envelopes just in case though. Hopefully this doesn't happen.

Maybe reach out to everyone closer to RSVP date if you don't hear anything from them first.
