Really short couple, really tall officiant

I don’t think it’s weird, but I also don’t think it’s necessary. H is over a foot taller than me and none of our pictures cut out his head.

I think it would look a little odd. Why would his head be cut off in photos?

This shouldn't be a problem for your photographer, but if it worries you I would rather have the bride and groom stand on a small stage than have the officiant sit.

Why not have you and your FH stand on Sims type of staging/decking and the officiant stand on the floor. But truthfully, it shouldn't be a big deal. A friend of mine just married and she's maybe 5ft, groom over 6ft and officiant 6'2". No cut offs in their photos and she's okay with the height differences.

My opinion, and it is just my opinion, is that it would look odd to have your officiant sit. I realize that this would be at your request but I would take it as that he did not respect you two to stand, if I were a guest witnessing the marriage that is. I don’t think his head would be cut off in photos. Whatever you two decide to do I’m sure will be great! 🙂

I'm 5'4, my DH is 6' and his brother is 6'4. The photographer will be able to get everyone's head in the picture. I wouldn't worry about it.

Lol! So thats a funny issue to have! So if I were in that issue, I would just make the photographer very aware of that, so he/she can prepare to take your photos at a different angle! Good luck
