Real or fake flowers???

Marissa, on March 10, 2021 at 5:13 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 17
I’m not sure if I want to go with real or fake flowers, I love the way that real flowers look, but I don’t want to worry about them wilting or having a bad side.

We decided to go with fake flowers because it was overall cheaper for our look and we're hoping to resell them after the wedding. But real flowers do end up being very beautiful! A good florist will make sure they are set up nicely if you decide to go that route.

I did sola wood flowers!!! They are beautiful and you get to keep them forever. I went through an amazing place out of TN called southern blooms co. Found them on FB after I had the same question about flowers.

This was at my final fitting last year, we ended up having to cancel but are just a few weeks away from our wedding.

I’m doing a mixture of both. My bouquet, sweetheart table & cake flowers will be real- we had a $400 budget. I bought fake flowers from Hobby Lobby for my bridesmaids. Also bought some to make arrangements for the gazebo where the ceremony will be.

Unless the real flowers are fragile, which most are not, you can get them MUCH cheaper than silks. Go to fiftyflowers.com and keep them in a vase of water with the plant food they supply. They will last quite awhile before they start to wilt.

Plus most brides prefer to have pictures of their fresh bouquets instead of storting a faux bouquet that will collect dust.

I’m thinking of having mine be real and the girls fake, but am having the girls carry a hoop instead of a traditional bouquet

I found an awesome shop on etsy for fake flowers that I will be using. Her name is Kochetova.

We used mostly fake flowers because if the wedding had to be postponed, then at least we wouldn't have to worry about rescheduling the florist. But artificial flowers were pretty expensive (the ones that looked good) and they all had the same look rather than each flower being unique. If you don't have to worry about COVID disrupting things, I would definitely go for real flowers.

I used all real flowers and they were one of my favorite parts of my wedding. If they fit in the budget and you can find a good florist, I’d definitely suggest going with real ones. Our florist was amazing and gave us the freshest of flowers. They actually lasted about a week after the wedding. Real or fake flowers??? 2

I was HARD!!! THE company I ordered through had so many beautiful bouquets, and the options to customize it to what you want. I knew I wanted something soft and romantic, our orginal wedding was supposed to be last year in Gatlinburg at a beautiful little outdoor venue.
