Real greenery vs. Faux

Bridget, on May 7, 2019 at 12:35 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 9

Real greenery vs. Faux 1I originally was telling myself I wanted all real flowers, I have hired a florist and her prices are great but now im wondering if I really want 8-10 real greenery runners.. what am I supposed to do with them after?! so Im looking into using fake greenery but I also dont want it to look cheap and plasticky. Has anyone purchased faux greenery and been happy with it? The photo above is an idea of what I want to do and what I showed my florist- she will be charging me $27.00 for each one.

For that price, I don't think you will find comparable fake greenery that looks "real." What would you do with the fake afterwards?

I invited all guests to take our floral bud vases and close family (moms and grandparents) arrangements home to further enjoy. garlands are a bit trickier since you can’t necessarily shove into a vase. perhaps you can donate to anybody with an upcoming party or event.
with faux garland would you resell afterwards or still be stuck with items that you don’t need?

I would resell faux ones afterwards probably saving one or two for my own table decor for special occasions.

Is that $27 per foot or actually $27 for each garland? Usually it is charge per foot so that is why I ask. The price range is anywhere from $15-$30 per foot so $27 per foot sounds about right though on the higher side. I used fresh garlands and paid $15 per foot. I used them around my house and gave some away too. They lasted about 2 weeks and then we threw them out.

That is the price per table so for the entire thing which includes roses in there as well. Her prices are extremely fair, good to know they held up well!

For that price, stick with the real! I haven't found anything in that price-point for fake or real garland.

Wow, that is an amazing price! Definitely stick with real garlands. I don't think you could find anything cheaper if you went with artificial and real garlands will look so much better.
