Re asking my friends??

Not tacky, but I would pay for their dresses this time around if you didn’t or couldn’t back then.

I would also wait until closer to the wedding to ask your bridal party. Like around 6-8 months, because things do change in relationships and in wedding planning. Offering to buy the attire is a good idea for sure.

First of all, congratulations on finding the right match for you! This is an exciting time, and i’m sure your friends are excited to celebrate with you! There is definitely no need to feel ashamed asking them to be your bridesmaids! However, since they did already spend money on your previous event that didn’t happen, I would pay for their dresses this time around (and anything else they may have paid for last time).

I agree that if it's in your budget to pay for or help finance the dresses that's a great idea but if you can't, definitely don't feel obligated to. There are a ton of reasonable websites and places to find dresses under $100 and I think having an open conversation with your friends about trying to keep prices down will go a long way.
