Raw edge veil?

Kristie, on July 18, 2019 at 3:45 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7
Has anyone gotten a raw edge veil? That's about all I see unless it has all lace down the back.

My concern is that the raw edge will catch on something and have it unraveled before I make it down the aisle.

Maybe I’m mistaken, but I don’t think that tulle unravels like some other fabrics.

I was originally going to get a raw edge veil, but it looked really crumpled. I ended up doing one with a thin ribbon on the edge and it was perfect. It added just enough weight to give it a bit more structure but still had the minimalist look I wanted.

I wouldn't be concerned about this. I don't think tulle unravels like that. If you catch any type of veil on something, it's likely to tear or get damaged.

My veil is raw edge and it won't "unravel" depending on what material it is anyhow. If you like the raw edge look go for it. But there is also ribbon, piping, beaded, pearled edges. Sure there are more but those are the ones i have looked at.

The one I have is raw edge, it’s tulle so it won’t unravel. You’ll still want to be careful not to snag it on anything because it will rip, but any fragile fabric that would be used as a veil would experience the same thing.

Tulle will not unravel, but I would definitely be concerned about it snagging on something and tearing. I wanted a simple veil but not raw, so I got pencil edged and it’s just right.

I got a raw edge and I love it. Everything else looked way too clunky for what I wanted. I also only paid like $5 so I’m not going to be super sad if it gets ripped.
