RANT!!! Canceled Bachelorette Party & RSVP Dilemma!!!

FutureMrs2011, on March 17, 2011 at 9:33 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 3

Ok, so first off I canceled my bachelorette party because these females were driving me freaking crazy! How do you plan two months ahead of time and then when its time to party, people start dropping like flies?! I mean really, I have heard every excuse under the sun. How hard is it to do a spa day, dinner, and a club? Everybody was so excited at the beginning and now people trying to act like their finances have all of a sudden dried up! I mean really? Like really? All I can say is people make time for what they want..so since half the people dropped out and the other half couldn't afford the spa, I just canceled the whole thing! I have learned that everybody who say they are your FRIEND, really isn't! Lesson Learned! THEN, why have I only received half of the rsvp cards back?! I mean WTF, I put a stamp on it! The deadline is a week away and people act like they can't respond and drop it in the mail. I am starting to wonder if I should have invited half of these people! UGH!

I feel your pain on the bachelorette thing! Your friends are all talk until it's time to show up or pay! They have no $$ yet I hear about lil vacays they take or new computers that they buy. Seriously? It's so frustrating! I haven't sent my invites yet but I am having people respond via email so hopefully they will respond in time. Why is it so hard to RSVP?? Age old question!

The bad thing is that two of the girls that canceled are going out of town this weekend! I found out from another friend! So you can go spend money doing that, but you can't come and celebrate with me? It is so true that when you get married, you realize who your real friends are. I am still going to go out, just not with them. I just don't have for the unnecessary stress and drama! And I don't know why people can't send in the RSVP, you begged for an invitation, and now you won't even send the response back in? SMH, I just don't get it!

Yes, you should go out! It's your bachelorette party!!! Wtf, this is part of your whole wedding experience. I was talking to my matron of honor and she said that friends don't realize how big of an event this is for you. Not just the wedding but everything. You are already so stressed out and to have to deal with bullshit from your supposed friends is another stressful thing. I hate confrontation but feel it's coming if my "friends" don't start being supportive. I hope you have a good bachelorette party and then brag to your firends how much they missed. ;-) And after the deadline date for the RSVP call the guests and ask them if the invite got lost in the mail or if they recieved it!
