It depends on what your dream is but if you're planning a cheap wedding you made it exactly get your dream but you can make something that you'll still love. I strongly suggest you start a Pinterest board and start looking at ideas of how to do cost-effective weddings. Realistically you could do a wedding for about $1,500 depending on the area you live in maybe Atmost 3,000 if you include photography and makeup and all that. The first thing you're going to need to do a sit-down with your fiance and come up with a budget that you two can work with and probably your biggest thing that may upset you depending on how you're planning on doing it is you can't have a large guest list. It's going to need to be a small intimate wedding so probably no more than 50 people because you have to have a reception to feed them. Depending on your budget it might be cheapest to do your ceremony in a park or on the beach or maybe in a church as those will be the cheaper venues. As for the reception it is better to rent a room at a rec center and just cater out or find a venue to let you bring in outside food and maybe alcohol. If you do hotels or things like that they're going to charge you a full wedding price and it won't be cheap. Also factor in your budget for a honeymoon of where you two can logically go and how much you can logically spend there. Everything is budget at this point. Good luck

You should start by talking to your future spouse about a budget. Then come up with a rough draft of your guest list. Once those are finished, you can start looking for venues that fit both of those things and has availability in the season or month in which you want to get married. Once you have a date and a venue, you can start looking at other major vendors like photography and catering.

The first thing you need to consider is your guest list. The more people you invite the more you are going to spend. It also depends on what your dream wedding is. My dream wedding was in a ballroom with real red roses. I had both at my wedding which wasn't cheap. Our venue had a food and beverage minimum of $7,000. Then you had to add in everything else that goes into a wedding. After all was said and done, we spent over $20,000 on our wedding. You need to determine what is it you and your fiance envision your wedding looking like so that you can decide on a venue. The time of year and where you having your wedding are also big factors that will influence how much you spend. It is normally cheaper to have a wedding during the off season. It is also cheaper to have a wedding on a Friday or Sunday, but if you are having a lot of out of town guests that might not be the best idea. Another option would be having your wedding at a non-meal time that way you don't have to serve a full meal. If you are having it at meal time then you need to serve a full meal. I found that buffet style was normally cheaper as well.

Not cheap, affordable or within the allotted budget.

    1st, establish a budget.
    2nd, determine your color scheme.
3rd, select reliable friends to help you brain storm and pick up items that you will need.

Is there anyone that you’d want to walk you down the aisle?

The more people involved = more 💵 to be spent.

Your Bridal party should consist of people that are reliable and trustworthy.

Not people that will try to make YOUR event about them.
They should be willing and able to help you, even if it’s just emotionally, not financially.
Most of my Hostesses and Bridal party were my saving graces.
I had to replace one 4 months before the Wedding. She was just NOT doing what I needed her to do.
I also ended up NOT inviting her. I do not regret this.
Those that attend your event should be in your corner at all times, not just trying to be seen.

Also, be clear on who is and is NOT invited.

I was under the impression that typing the names of the invited parties on the RSVP cards would eliminate ininvited guests.

I was sadly mistaken. I had at least 3️⃣ UNinvited people.

I also received an RSVP card with a ✍️note re: “bringing 2 additional people”. However, she let me know that they weren’t going to be able to attend.
    Yay‼️

Depends on what you mean by cheap. I had a cheap wedding and just basically did what the minimum requirements were for things. Restaurant receptions and courthouse weddings are super affordable if you basically slash everything not necessary out of them.

Everyone kind of covered it, but basically you need to figure out a realistic budget, and then figure out a guest list and time of year you want to get married (and general location).

Once you figure out a venue, the rest of it is kind of easy. If you do a DIY wedding (as in, you get the caterer, tables, chairs, etc), it's a lot more work but typically way cheaper than an all-inclusive wedding. You can find cheaper photographers or maybe if you have a friend/family member who does photography well, have them do it. Music is kind of the same way (although, I do think getting a professional is worth it there).

You can save money on your dress by buying used or going somewhere that's not a fancy boutique (like David's Bridal). You don't have to use real flowers, etc.

A lot of it for me was determining time vs. money. So flowers I didn't want to spend hours upon hours of making centerpieces and bouquets, so I spent $2K on flowers but they did all the work. For invitations, I ordered them (while having a sale) but wrote out each one by hand so that I could save a few hundred on that service.
