Questions on timeline

Emily, on October 6, 2019 at 11:34 AM Posted in Planning 0 4

Hi everyone, this may be a weird question. My fiance and I booked almost all our vendors in December/January for our 10/3/2020 wedding. I was wondering when vendors started reaching back out as the time gets closer. Especially our venue. Or am I supposed to reach back out for like tasting appointments or planning appointments?

I don't want to be the crazy bride!

My venue said that I should let them know when I’m ready to do tastings. So I think you should contact them to set all of that up.

Doesn’t hurt to start reaching out. We also booked a lot of vendors early and luckily my venue let’s me plan on my time so i am looking to get all the details and decisions made sooner than later. Especially months leading up to the wedding i am always swamped at work

10/3/20 twins! i think you could just send them a check-in email saying "some time has passed, wondering what our next steps are" my venue told me that she would email us after the new year to set up tastings and such, so i'm waiting until then. but other vendors i have contacted myself.

    Hi Emily!

If you are anxious to get started with finalizing some details, I don't think it is an issue for you you be the first to reach out. If the vendor has a certain timeline that they like to stick to, they will let you know but it definitely wouldn't hurt to inquire about next steps.
