Questions for Caterer?

Chelsea, on March 16, 2020 at 6:36 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 4

I am looking into finding the caterer that is just right for my event!

What are the big questions to ask when speaking with them?

First, you need to know where you're getting married! City, state, etc.

Second, you need to have an idea of how large your guest list is...

Third, what *type* of wedding do you want to have - rustic, urban, artsy, etc?

Fourth, what is your budget? The best way to figure out a realistic budget for your area is to try the "Planning Tools" link up at the top of the page. This will help you find out average prices where you want to get married, so you know if a venue is expensive or not.

Then you start looking at different venues. Wedding Wire and planning books usually offer great lists of questions to help guide you, once you get to that point.

What’s included. How much extra tax and tip are. Availability which presumably you’ve asked before setting date.
