Hi everyone should I start getting a planner person now or after we have our funding money?

    I think it depends on your needs. Are you wanting a planner to do the planning for you? If so, I'd get the money together for their deposit before you do anything further. If you just want a day of coordinator, I think you'd be fine to not go looking for that particular vendor for a bit. Just know you'll need money for deposits for all of your vendors; they won't hold your date until you pay them. If you don't have enough for deposits right now, I'd save for a bit until you have enough to make the deposits.

    Agree with PP. Vendors typically require deposits so if you’re hiring a planner to plan and book your vendors, you’ll need the money ready for those deposits.


    If you’re only doing a day/month-of coordinator, you have some time before needing to book that. If you are getting a full-on planner, please that some planners will charge a fee based on a percentage of your wedding budget.
