If you are requiring them to get their hair and makeup done then you should pay. If you are age for someone do hair and makeup and just tell them to let you know if they want theirs done by your person then they can pay. Some people do a nice job on their own makeup and don’t need someone.

I gave my bridesmaids the option of whether they wanted to do their own or have their hair and makeup done professionally. Then, I reserved the same person for all 4 of us.

I hired one person and paid for everyone. I think it would be a logistical nightmare to have them hire separate people.

If you’re requiring it, you pay. If it’s optional, they pay. You should definitely stick with one person for everyone.

I have already hired hair and makeup for me, my bridesmaids, and my Mom. They will all be getting ready with me day of.

You should fine your hair & makeup artist, because you're the bride & you want to make sure you love their work and can afford the cost for you. Then you can ask your bridesmaids if they want to pay for their own hair & makeup and what the cost will be (unless you plan to pay for it). I hired 4 artists for 13 women and one little girl (3 moms, me, 9 bridesmaids, flower girl).
