View Quoted Comment Everyone will have different opinions on this, so there is no “real answer”. I think 3 years is too far out to put deposits down, but since you’ve already put your deposit down with your planner, that ship has sailed. I’d spend the next year or year and a half to just get ideas about what you want and to start saving, but don’t put down any more money until you’re much closer to your date.

View Quoted Comment Yes. I’m a huge fan of booking early when you can (I started booking my vendors 22 months out), but 3 years is pushing it (and your style may change a lot in that time frame). I’d spend the next year or so doing a ton of research on what you like, don’t like, etc. and then start reaching out to venues and vendors next summer.
