Question about the order of bridal party!

Hello everyone! My bridesmaids will be in alternating dress colors and I've asked for their preference in color. My fiance has tall groomsmen, I have (mostly) short bridesmaids, and my fiance and I are both short. The way the preferences worked out, ordering from tall to short (with tallest close to the altar) gets the color preferences matched better. Would it be weird to have a short couple then tall best man/MOH and the rest of the bridal party lined up from tall to short with the tallest closer to the altar?

Normally the best man and maid of honor stand the closest to the bride and groom. We decided order by who were are the closest to rather than height.

I ordered my bridesmaids based on who was closest and it kind of just happened to work out with the height of the groomsmen

My maid of honor & his best man are standing next to us. Then I just paired up our bridemaids & groomsmen but I didn't but them in any specific order.

I didn't even think about height when we paired people up. Keep your MOH and BM closest and then after that, just alternate colors the way you want. It's not a big deal.
